Description:

We are looking for a Betches creator and video producer to join our editorial team — someone who is naturally funny, deeply creative, culturally fluent, and has a strong, specific point of view.

This is a front-facing creator role, so you should be comfortable being on camera, writing, developing ideas, and bringing your own personality and sense of humor to the work. You should have endless ideas for content and the instinct to just go make something rather than overthink it.

At the same time, real video production skills are essential. You should know how to shoot, light, produce, and edit your own work and be able to take an idea from concept to finished video. We're looking for someone scrappy and resourceful who can make something great with a phone, a camera, or whatever tools are available.

The ideal candidate has a niche POV, a strong comedic voice, and a genuine obsession with the internet and pop culture. You know what's happening on TikTok and Instagram, but you're not just following trends — you're constantly thinking about how to put a Betches spin on them or create something entirely new.

You should understand the Betches voice while also bringing a perspective that is uniquely your own. This role will report to the TK and work closely with our larger content team.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Produce, shoot, edit and star in a variety of Betches Media videos (sketches, reels, videos, etc.)

• Ideate, script, and execute ad hoc and series ideas for Betches and Betches verticals, internal and external videos

• Assist in all aspects of the production process, including pitching, scripting, shooting, appearing in, and editing videos and video series

• Collaborate with video and content team to produce high quality video content

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years experience in producing, shooting & editing videos for social

• Must be comfortable appearing/acting in videos as needed

• Strong comedic background or experience working in comedy is required

• Ability to shoot and edit narrative sketches

• Strong ability to produce and film quick social videos

• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (knowledge of After Effects and other Adobe apps huge plus)

• Understanding of basic lighting techniques and DSLR cameras

• Fluent in the culture of social media

• Past media experience a plus

• Ability to travel locally, if needed

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred, but not required

Compensation

The expected annual base salary for this role is $70,000 - $80,000. Years of experience, skills, and other factors such as location are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation and offer package will include the following perks below.
